Blog by Ray Smiley | August 31st, 2012

There are tons of real estate blogs that we should be keeping our eye on. I have some personal favorites and thought I would share them with you today. Let's jump into Ray Smiley's Top 3 real estate bloggers you should keep your eye on.

1) InmanNext http://next.inman.com/

 inman Next Agent

This is a blog I tend to check daily because of how up to date they are with real estate news. Not only do they provide the most up to date news but also separate their sections such as Social Media, Tech & Gadgets, and Mobile. There are others too but just outlining the ones I usually focus on because in real estate social media is tough to run. We have enough to do as a real estate agent and running a social campaign requires another person to keep tabs on it. A recent favorite post is this one:

2) Bloodhound Blog http://www.bloodhoundrealty.com/BloodhoundBlog/

BloodHoundRealty

You may have heard of Bloodhound realty already. For me I have been a long time reader and fan of the blog. They provide personality to their articles and from what I've read every article has been engaging to the reader. All the writers on the blog are accomplished in real estate so there is some authority behind each post. Some of them are actually CEO's of their own company. I remember reading a really great article on "Where is the Real Estate Market Going Today" and found it to be intriguing. It made an excellent point of how we read data on the real estate market. Some of us miss the fact that it may not be adjusted for seasonality or the selection of the market may be a poor one or small one. I highly suggest you guys check out Bloddhound Blog.

3) Bigger Pockets http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/

BiggerPockets Blog

Bigger pockets is a site that has been around for a while and it writes a lot of useful content for all types of real estate agents. Whether you are an experienced real estate agent or you are just starting out they always find a way to target a large amount of real estate agents. For most it's difficult to get going in real estate especially if you are just starting out. If you are someone who is just starting out then I highly suggest you check out this article http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2012/08/27/you-want-to-be-full-time-real-estate-investor/. These guys put out content at least once a week so I would put this one in your bookmarks bar and check back regularly. It's also a good idea to check out some of the authors for this site as they also have a blog of their own and put out some great content.

I hope this list helps everyone further themselves that much more in real estate because it certainly has helped me and staying in touch with real estate news, market, and marketing is a job all on its own.  I hope everyone has a great labour day weekend. Take care!
